Jordy Berne
Welcome!
I am a Ph.D. candidate in the Department of Economics at the University of Michigan. My dissertation uses quasi-experimental methods to estimate the short- and long-run impacts of early childhood programs in the U.S. More broadly, I'm interested in education policy and social programs that promote economic opportunity for children and families.
As a graduate student, I've been an Institute of Education Sciences predoctoral fellow and I'm currently an NAEd/Spencer dissertation fellow.
Prior to graduate school, I worked as an analyst at the U.S. Congressional Budget Office. I'm an avid UGA football fan and my alma maters have collectively won the past three three of the past four national championships.
